To make up for my earlier indiscretion, I decided to reward myself for a job well done. It made me have peace in mind to know that I can choose to reward myself, in a healthy way, and still love it.
Tonight I tried another SparkPeople recipe. I made Beef Stroganoff. It was good, but wasn't my favorite. Like I've mentioned before, I'm a pretty picky eater. I can look past the tomatoes and the onions but when people start putting mushroom in things.. BLECH :P I still ate them, cut up in teeensy weeensy pieces,tho..
After recording everything, I was still 103 calories and 125 carbs away from my minimums so I was trying to find something to eat. At first I thought about toast. I love my wheat toast but wasn't really in the mood. Then I remembered I had bought some dessert shells and I knew I had strawberries so I made a healthier version of a strawberry shortcake. Don't have any whipped cream in the house, but probably wouldn't have used that anyway.
The dessert was a perfect way to end the day. Wasn't too sweet and I didn't over do it like I would have in the past. Looking back, eating that candy today really wasn't that big of a deal, I still got to eat a good supper after splurging a little and I didn't go over anything :)
Well, time to turn in. Maybe read a few pages of my book then heading for bed. I hope everyone else had a wonderful day!
