The wonderful world of potty training..

Well, last week I tried to get into training Shaye but it didn't go very well.. lol. I've heard of the "naked approach" and also where you take away all diapers and pull-ups and just do "big girl panties". Well, I did the panties and let me tell ya... We bought 16 pair of underwear and by the end of the day, Shaye had gone in ALL of them.. lol..

I haven't tried again since then but I'm hoping to start again tomorrow.. Since I have Kendall during the week, I can't give Shaye all of my attention which she needs to do this.. So since Mac is working tomorrow and no Kendall or Dani, I'm trying again.. It's supposed to take about 3 days to get the hang of everything, and I know that every child is different, but I'm sooo hoping that Shaye will be one of those 'get it in a day' kind of kids lol.. Also, with this being a first for me, I'm kind of lost.. lol and my mom didn't even potty train me, a babysitter did, so I'm sort of lost on how to go about it.. I was wondering if anyone out there had any tips or ideas to help along.. Well, I should get going.. Shaye's supposed to be taking a nap, but she's standing right next to me instead lol..

owwie!!

oh man i freakin' hurt!! lol I feel like I've been run over by a mack truck hehe.. Yesterday while we were in Odessa, we took Dani ice skating.. well Dani and I were racing to see who was the fastest skater and instead of turning or the big one, STOPPING, I ran right into the wall.. let me just say that stopped my skating for the day lol.. The good news is I won  but the bad news is I banged up my knees and I jammed my left pinkie finger.. ouch! It's black, blue and purple all over and so swollen that my wedding ring fits hehhe.. and for some reason my whole right arm is sore.. don't know why either, i dont think I did anything to it...  hehe well i should quit whining..

oh yea! wanted to give a shout out to Britney.. she's a civilian again and now back in the great state of Texas! just wanted to say welcome back girl! Come visit soon!

Hello everyone!
it's been awhile so I decided to post.. a couple of days ago, my mom, Shaye and I went and visited my brother Jeremy for his birthday. he got his new digital camera out and video'd (lol) Shaye.. there are quite a few videos but here are two..
on the old post I tried to embed these and it didnt work, but now that I'm back to blogspot, it lets me, so enjoy!

also, we just got back from Odessa from Dani's pep rally. She started back to cheerleading this week and today was their last day of camp so they had a peprally.. so I got a few videos of her too.. I'm not sure how well you can see them but Dani is in the first row and is the middle cheerleader.. Anyway, hope you like!

It kind of stinks because my camera ran out of memory on the second video of Dani so you can't see all of it.. but they did really good! :) well, i need to get going..

Hidy-Ho!

I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to post a whole lot anymore, but hey, it's been over 2 weeks w/o an actual blog of some sort.  Yeah, I did post that we were back to the web but who cares about that? lol, where's the gossip?!?! yeah right

You migh see my mood at the moment.. I'm very aggrivated.. I have a friend who, I have no idea why, is going to Athens, TX to pick up her bf. (I just know that I would personally never do it alone if I did't have proper directions) Well if you have ever driven through the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, you know that there are a LOT of confusing roads.. Well, I've been on the phone w/ her for the last Hour and a half trying to get her back to the right road. Somehow she started going north towards Denton instead of East.. Well, when I got her back to going South, she went too far and starting going to Waco... We got directions, a guy told her EXACTLY where to go, and she still missed it.. I dont know if its because i'm tired, or hungry or I've just been dealing w/ kids all day but I'm very irritated! lol.. ok, enough about that...

TADA!! Who thought Mac was NEVER going drilling, ever again? well, sorry to disapoint you, but he started today.. He's still on 631, drilling for relief. he said that the daylights driller is trying to go to pushing, so if that ever happens, he's thinking that he has the daylights job.. Well considering that relief usually always gets the daylights job... I guess he's happy about it.. He seems to have put off the school idea for awhile. He wants to drill for 2 more years and if he's not pushing by then, he's quiting and going to school.. I don't know if that will happen but if the oil field keeps going the way it is now, he probably will.. I'm just hoping it will slow down though.. There are rigs EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE is shorthanded.. Mac's crew is supposed to be 5 man, but you know how many he has out there right now? 2.. him and another guy. It's just a good thing that they are getting ready to rig down.. By then, hes hoping to have a full crew..

 A little while there, Mac and I were actually considering moving back to Midland or Odessa.. but if you look at it, Shaye's 2... if we move to Midland or Odessa, we would have to move right back in like a year and a half since we both want her to go to Wink schools.. there's just no point. So we are currently saving up to buy a house in Wink. There are a few for sale now but hopefully we'll have our credit and all our past bills caught up in a year, plus since Wink houses don't hardly go over $75,000.. if we save up around $10,000 that should be a wonderful down payment. But who knows, alot can change in a year.. ya know?  Well, I'm getting tired and I have a huge feeling that if I dont go to bed now, I'll be really cranky in the morning and running incredibly late for church.. So I'll post again in about 2 more weeks k?

we're reconnected to the world.. finally!

Well, its been about two weeks.. The reason I haven't posted is because we were disconnected... We had a few more pressing bills to pay and cable/internet didn't make the list so we waited.. but its finally back and I'm glad because w/o it, I have no stress reliever and boy do I need one. Well its after 11 so I'm going to head to bed. I just wanted to post and tell ya we're back!

what a LONG day

Man this has been a long day.. My stomach has been really upset so it make a bad day and it dragged on and on! We ended up taking Dani home today. Mac decided Sunday night that he was too tired to take her home considering he had been up for over 24 hours.. And I don't like taking Dani home alone.. so neways..Today was pretty good.. we went grocery shopping and came home. Then Cat brought Kendall over. I feel for that little girl lol.. Mac scares they living daylights out of her. I think its mainly because the only type of people she's ever around is women. And if she is around guys, they don't get on to her. Well, Mac has this, "my house, my rules" concept and she can't get over that.. She does something she knows she's not supposed to do, and she gets in trouble. Well w/ Mac having such a deep, mean voice, she just starts trembling and then comes the screaming.. and that is what ticks him off the most..he understands that a kid is going to cry but when they start throwing those fits, he can't stand it so then he gets on to her more, and she starts screaming louder.. do you get the picture?? lol so from 3:30-8:00, this is how my night goes until I either take her home or she falls asleep here. I mean, its not constant screaming but a majority of it is because he can't even walk into the room w/o her starting to cry, then she races over to me to be held. Its pretty sad.. but she'll get used to him over time.. This is a new thing to her and I guess it'll just take awhile. hmm... what else did I do today?Oh, duh! I worked ALOT on the site. I got almost everything where I want it, but it still has some tweaking.. When I used to do sites, I worked mainly in pure HTML, but the more and more I do research, they are changing the code to CSS which is alot like programming language. Its kind of easier to comprehend but harder to learn.. or thats what I think anyways lol. So anyways, the site is still a work in progress. The more I learn, the better it'll get. Neways, its after 12 and I really need to go to sleep. I'll post again laters!

Hello!

Just wanted to come in and post a little.. We had a very long week, and it's finally over.. We didn't really do anything last night. Dani had her friend Tawny come over during the day, but that's pretty much it. Mac finally started days off today and he's real happy. I'm not sure if its going to get done this days off, but he's planning on talking to Ronnie.. I really really hope so too.. We haven't received a car pmt in forever, he doesn't have insurance on it and he is avoiding us like crazy.. has been since December. I mean, it would help us if we could get the car back and sell the van, but it would also help if Ronnie would start paying for it.. Like thats ever going to happen. Neways, off that subject. We went swimming today. But it stunk because it was only for about 20 minutes. The pool is supposed to be open from 1-6.. We get there at 3 and after we paid, one of the lifeguards comes over and says, "Here's your money back, we're closing at 3:30" Dani wasn't too happy about it but I'm thinking Mac said something about going again tomorrow. I just can't help but to laugh at my posts last night or should I say this morning.. I told mac and showed him my finger and he thought it is probably a spider bite.. You could see a little blood underneath my skin like I got pricked w/ a needle but now its gone.. never even hurt so theres no telling.. Anyways, alls well today.. The girls and I just stayed around the house today doing nothing lol.. Tonight Dani is staying at a friend's house in Wink and Mac is leaving for work in about 20 minutes.. So since Shaye is already asleep, I'm gonna be alone.. YEA! lol jk.. neways.. gonna go post again laters

2:21 a.m. Hehe, I know, about 40 minutes ago I said I was going to sleep on the couch, but I really don't want to get up from the computer for the fear of just walking back to the bedroom to get pillows and blankets, I might step on a scorpion lol.. I know, Stephanie, GROW UP! lol but I'm scared :P



Anyways, Dani did great at the dermatologist. The DR. gave her two options: freezing the wart off or medicine. Freezing the wart would hurt then and not hurt later but his big recommendation was medicine. Its smells alot like compound w but is the strongest medicine out there for warts. It really gets deep down and penetrates the wart better than freezing. The only thing is its the opposite of freezing on the pain.. She didn't feel anything then but it really hurts later on. But she was a trooper and was really good about it. She chose medicine because she really wants to get rid of this wart! lol



Its such a relief to me that today is over lol.. I am trying to help Catherine out again and 4 days a week I'm watching Kendall for her. Well thats not the bad part lol.. With Dani feeling better today, she was in a weird mood. She was just so hyper but also freaking out because of the appointment and this made her edgy. So this made her a hyper, backtalking, not-going-to-listen-to-anything-Stephanie-says monster lol.. Then there was Shaye. She's still not big on the sharing and really not big on mama holding other babies so She was 'mine! mine!' all day long. And although I was very proud of her telling me, I was embarrased when Shaye kept stating the fact that she had poopoo'ed while Dani was getting her treatment

Then you add in Kendall to this mess. She loves her attention. She's hardly around other babies so its always just her in the limelight. So she kinda gets upset when I'm talking to Dani or Shaye and not her.



Can you just imagine how it was when we were in the waiting room for about 30-45 minutes? lol.. Shaye and Kendall had to have separate books but then Shaye got jealous that Kendall had that one so she takes it away and says mine but doesn't give Kendall the other one.. Kendall won't sit still and wants to crawl everywhere so that makes Shaye want to start crawling everywhere too.. Dani's trying to help but Shaye won't let her get anywhere near her and starts yelling "no! no! no!" With Shaye in tow, I always feel like we are the entertainment in waiting rooms. Just for the fact that you KNOW that it was quiet when we got there, and then all this and more is going on you start to see people looking and smiling or there are the people who have disapproving looks on their faces or are just annoyed. Oh well I guess I'm going to have to get
used to it lol..



Well, I really should get back to sleep.. I dont watch kendall tomorrow so
that'll be a little easier. Mac starts days off on Saturday then we take Dani
back on Sunday because Mandi asked... but anyways, I'll try and post again
before then!

weird dreams

Do you ever have any weird dreams that end up using something that is happening right then while you were sleeping?

Like say you were sleeping and the TV was on. You are dreaming exactly what is going on on TV.. well mine was sort of like that I guess.. First off, I have no idea what I was dreaming about :P but I know I was talking to this lady and all of a sudden she turned green and then turned into this big sticker and said, "take that you mean lady!" Then she jams herself into my thumb. Well of course it wakes me w/ me obviously hurting. When I look at my thumb, something definitely bit me, stung me or just plain got me.. Its not hurting anymore but it freaked me out so I don't want to go back to bed lol.. I have this fear of scorpions and since West Texas is full of them, I know it could be a huge possibility that that's what got me.. so I definitely don't want to go to bed! lol

I think I'm gonna go get my pillow and a blanket and sleep on the couch. post laters!

Well, whats up today? For me, cleaning and taking care of kids.. Dani has other things in mind lol..

The poor girl, ever since we got her on Sunday she's been miserable! At first we thought she had a summer cold, but when cold medicine didn't work, we went on to allergies. Nope they didn't worky. So finally we went onto sinuses YAYEE! we figured it out! lol we got her some benedryl for sinuses and some vicks so she actually sleep at night and she woke up this morning ALIVE! lol.. she was back to normal Dani again and I was happy!!!'

She's been kind of pouty the last couple of days because we kept her inside just incase it was a cold and we didn't want her sinus/allergies to get worse.. So that means no riding her bike or playing outside.. have you ever tried to tell a kid that during the summer? Its not fun.. Well when she woke up this morning she wanted to make up for lost time.. She got up, took a shower and ate.. The last thing i heard was BYE!! She's been gone since about 8:15.. lol The only thing that Dani is really upset about today though is we have to go to a dreaded dermatologist appointment. That darn wart is back on her nose and she is not happy.. So we get to go get it frozen off.. which I know she'll do good.. she just works herself up worrying about it and when she gets it done, she's fine.. it may sting but she's fine..

Well, neways I'm going to go get the house straightened and I'll post again after we get home and tell ya how everything goes..
