Diet Day 1

Starting over. That's what I'm doing.

I am sick and tired of not being happy with myself. The key to a happy life is to embrace everything you've been given. I can't do it. I don't like myself and I can't do it anymore.

I have my spiffy new treadmill that I got for Christmas that is collecting dust in the living room. It is needing badly to be broken in and I've decided now is the time to do it.

My son will be a year old next month and although I'm *thrilled* that I lost all of the pregnancy weight, I didn't lose any more of that. I am still just as big as I was before I got pregnant. Just for the fact that I lost my weight after having Gage shows me that I can lose weight, it's just actuall getting up and doing something about it.

My problem is the computer and the t.v. I've cut down on how much I'm on the computer. It's hardly used at all anymore and I only watch tv while watching Prison Break season3 (I know, I'm behind) So it shouldn't be any problem at all for me to get up and do it, right? I'm going to try.

I went to the store today and bought today's and tomorrow's meal plans set for me by SparkPeople. So I have no reason to call for fast food or to make excuses that we have no food. I HAVE to do it.

Since al I'm doing is rambling now, I'm going to go. This blog is mainly going to be my progress tracker. And probably also my venting place since I really don't want to do that on the family blog.

Come back laters to see how I do!

Met My Goals

Fat My Goal – 34-60 Today – 43
  • You are eating the right amount of dietary fat to help your body stay healthy!

Protein My Goal – 60-134 Today – 82
  • You know that protein is an essential nutrient, and you're doing a great job of meeting your body's needs!

Went Under My Goals

Calories My Goal – 1280-1630 Today – 1188
  • Your body needs a certain number of calories to function at its prime. When you don't eat enough, you can hurt your metabolism and weight management efforts.
  • Try snacking. Add 1-3 healthful snacks throughout the day to help you meet your calorie goals.

Carbohydrates My Goal – 172-249 Today – 116
  • When it comes to carbohydrates, it's important to avoid extremes. Too many, and you could gain weight; too little, and you could hurt your health. Carbs have gotten an unfounded bad rap in recent years, but they are actually the best source of fuel for your body and your brain. Aim for no less than 120 grams of carbohydrates each day (unless otherwise directed by your medical provider).
  • Find more carbs. Carbohydrates are found in fruits, vegetables, beans, dairy products, foods made from grains, and sweeteners such as sugar, honey and molasses.

  1. Hello #90daycultee,

I've seen your post on #90daycult & started to follow you for inspiration. I like your 'Diet Day 1' on Losing Steph. Are there more days? How are your achievements?

Now I'm eating some Turkish delights & hate myself even more after your 'Losing Steph' web statement. I must do 15/90 now & quit all sweets. FML after good/challenging weekend.

I really loved the concept about carbs. & again repetition, repetition, repetition: optimal carbs dose - 120g/day. Sweet.

I hope your #90daycult challenge is fun. Good luck.

  2. Oh wow, I completely forgot that I had this blog lol. Actually, I have been blogging more at spark people, but I might transfer those posts over here too.. Thanks for giving me the reminder!

Don't be too hard on yourself. That's something that I've done in the past that I've put away. If one day (or an entire weekend) I 'accidently' go off of my diet, I always begin again the next day. Tomorrow is a new day and you can always start all over no matter how much you think you've messed up.
